Welcome to Sock It To Cancer, Inc.,

a charity born from love, passion, and the memory of an extraordinary woman, Christine Healey.

Her Story: Christine was an early childhood educator with a deep love for working with children and families. She was also a self-proclaimed "sock lover," with a collection of socks for every occasion, holiday, and season. As an Early Head Start teacher, Christine delighted in seeing her students express themselves through their fun and whimsical socks. From amusing and quirky designs to cute floral patterns and playful stripes, she made sure her classroom was always filled with joy and laughter.

Sadly, Christine’s time with us was cut short. In 2015, she lost her battle with cervical cancer at the age of 27. To honor her memory and her love for children and silly socks, Christine’s friends and colleagues launched the Silly Sock Drive in Central Florida, benefiting Kids Beating Cancer (KBC).

From 2015 to 2020, we collected over 1000s pairs of socks for KBC. Silly socks may seem small, but they have the power to bring a smile and brighten a child’s day, even in the face of a cancer diagnosis. Every pair of socks collected helps support KBC’s mission to bring joy, hope, and comfort to children and families during their hardest times.

Thank you for your support!.
